(REC Inc. programs do not have staff to monitor or control behavior. If clients need assistance please have them bring a caregiver.)
Basketball For Winners
Come be a member of the Seals Basketball Team. Anyone can play because we adapt the game to our players’ abilities. The Seals play community members, families, police & fire departments, community service groups, local companies, and celebrities like Doug McConnell of Bay Area Backroads and comedian Michael Pritchard.
Dates:: Mondays, Winter: 1/23-3/12 (except 2/20), Spring: 4/2–5/21 (except 4/9), Fall: 9/10–11/5
Time: 6:35 - 8:00pm
Where: Meet in Larkspur Rec Dept Office - 240 Doherty Drive, Larkspur.
Price: $4 drop in (exact change, please) OR get a full session discount: $21 for Winter or Spring & $27 for Fall - FREE to come and watch!!!!!!
World Beat Dance
This class is about the joy of movement and rhythm. It’s a workout for your body and soul. Together, students create and perform basic dances and explore fundamental percussion instruments. We have $1,000 worth of drums! Caregivers must participate. Instructor Karen Carlson has been teaching African-flavored dance in Marin County since 1992.
Dates:Tuesdays, 1/10 to 2/28, 10/9 – 12/11, except NO classes on 11/6 and 11/20.
Time: 6:10 -7:10pm
Where: Larkspur Rec Department Community Room, 240 Doherty Drive, Larkspur.
Price: $5 drop in (please bring exact change) or $32 per 8 week session.
Wiffleball with the Wildcats
REC Inc has produced another undefeated sports team! Come play with Coach Karen Carlson while we slaughter teams from all over the community. Our players have made up an entirely new list of wacky rules so anyone can play this highly adaptable game. Ever play with no “outs”, a zillion pitches, or 3 runners on one base? You have to try this!
Dates: Tuesdays, 3/13 – 5/1 5/15 – 7/17 (except 5/29 & 6/5) 7/31 – 9/25 (except 8/7)
Time: 6:15 - 7:30pm
Where: Henry C. Hall Middle School, The Gym, 200 Doherty Drive, Larkspur (meet first in Community Room)
Price: $5 drop in (please bring exact change)

The Larkspur Champions Lions Club
Come join a special chapter of this international charitable organization and you can: perform community service, run your own meetings, become an officer, and visit other Lions Clubs. Check for monthly visitations and parties, and now GAME NIGHT!

3rd Friday Dance
This is an excellent opportunity to meet some new folks, catch up with friends, and have a great time. With the wild music of Ebony Slam by Feeve you’ll want to dance! A different theme every month!

Be Healthy!
Almost all of our members have lost weight and are keeping it off! Join Dixie James with her weekly charismatic, inspirational talks, workout challenges, and healthy food discussions. Lose weight with the support of your friends and learn about nutrition and getting fit.
Dates: Tuesdays, 1/10 - 2/28, 3/13 - 5/1, 5/15 - 7/17 (not 5/29 & 6/5), 7/31 – 9/25 (not 8/7), 10/9 – 12/11 (not 11/6 & 11/20).
Time: 4:30–5:00pm movement segment, 5:00-6:00pm class time!
Where: Larkspur Rec Department Community Room, 240 Doherty Drive, Larkspur.
Price: $40 for each 8 week session, we will pro-rate and you can start a session at any time!
Party Night by Art Attack
Art Attack explores a wide variety of artistic modes, all in an adaptive and comfortable atmosphere. The students love "themed" Art Parties which can include varied activities such as: beading, karaoke, games, holiday cards, drawing, stained glass painting, and special crafts and gift making. Come dressed to match each theme! All art materials are supplied in "goodie bags."
Dates: Fridays: 2/10 Valentines, 3/9 St. Patrick's, 4/13 Easter, 5/11 Birthday, 10/29 Halloween, 12/14 Holidays.
Time: 6:30-8:00pm.
Where: Larkspur Rec Department Community Room, 240 Doherty Drive, Larkspur.
Price: $3 for each Party - $6 for Halloween & Holiday. Must call REC Inc at 453-4847, at least a week before each Party to reserve a spot. (Maximum of 24 people!)
Movie Night (Offered through the Champions Lions Club)
A GREAT place to socialize! Come to the Food Court at the Northgate Mall to meet a gang of friends, see a movie(or not) and grab dinner at the food court or bring a bag dinner. This program has little to no supervision; you must be able to get your own dinner, sit through a movie, leave, and meet your transportation without assistance.
Dates: 1st Friday each month (call to verify for 7/6 Movie Night)
Time: People can drop in any time between 4:00 - 7:30pm (people often arrive after 5:00 & all leave by 7pm)
Where: Northgate Food Court, tables near the wall across from Sbarro Pizza, 7000 Northgate Mall, San Rafael
Price: Prices are set by the theatres and restaurants.
