This spectacular event will allow children to participate in activities highlighting stories and fairy tales. Children will be encouraged to explore the wonderful world of books...and let their imaginations take flight.
All children are invited to dress as a favorite fairy tale character!
Take a step back to an enchanted time with knights, princesses, fairies, ogres, and trolls. The event will feature fairy tale parade of characters (all children welcome!), Performances- including Tim Cain, roaming theme characters, story-themed make-and-take crafts, games and activities, a petting zoo, castle jumpy, organic food, music, face painting, hair braiding and storytelling of course!
The purpose of the Storyland Festival is three fold:
- Promote early childhood literacy by inspiring children and parents through story, song and dance. Games and activities will focus on Reading Readiness, and model engaging learning skills for parents.
- Create a wholesome annual community event for local young children and their families.
- Establish a much-needed fundraiser to help finance the preschool renovation project, which will create an enhanced learning environment.
